My Godmother, Elsie Mount Eaves, was born and raised in Iron Hill, Eastern Townships, had many brothers and sisters, met my Mom in her twenties while working at the Sun Life, and remained best friends through their lives.
Elsie was involved in my whole life: presents, visits, trips to Iron Hill, church activities, school activities, helped me obtain my first job at the Sun Life, also active in my children's and grandchildren's lives. I played and went on trips with her two children, Pat and Tom. Elsie gave us refuge during the ice storm of 1997 and supported us before and after my Mom's death.
An amazing and beautiful woman, religious, liked by everyone she met, involved in many charities, selfless in her volunteering, master in crossword puzzles, scrabble and cribbage. Voracious reader.
Thank you Elsie for being in my life, Maureen O'Hara.
A classy lady who loved family and of course a good game of cards. May we all be so lucky to live such a full and healthy life.

Condolences to Pat, Tom and extended relatives. Elsie will be missed by all of our family here in Guelph. She graced our family gatherings when travelling to Guelph to spend time with Pat, and she was definitively the Queen of Scrabble! With her quick wit and humour Elsie’s zest and tenacity for life is a path to be admired by all. Love Cindy, Rodney, Justin, Jessica, Michael & Molly
