In Loving Memory of Alex Gomes (1948 – 2020)
Alex passed away peacefully on the 29th of April, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with ALS. Beloved husband of Maureen, loving father of Karen and Sean (Julie), and devoted grandfather to Leo. Alex will also be missed by his siblings, Clifford (Jean) and Melba (Camillo) and his brother-in-law, John (Patricia), and all of his nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank ALS Quebec, Nova and CLSC Dorval-Lachine for their tremendous help, support and home care. Funeral Mass is on Saturday, August 22nd, at St-Veronica’s Church (1300 Carson, Dorval), followed by interment at the cemetery. Due to present restrictions, the funeral is by invitation only.

Alex is very much missed by those fortunate enough to know his kindness and sense of humour. He was also leo,s cheerleader & spoke of him often.
We met Alex for the first time last August and we liked him from the start. He was kind, thoughtful, full of fun and courageous in the face of his terrible illness. We send our condolences to Maureen and all the family at such a difficult time. We’ll always remember him. Judy and Dick
Missing you a lot dear buddy. Enjoyed those long chats and times together these past few years, not to mention the most enjoyable cruise in 2017. I admire you for facing ALS head on and barely complaining about it.
