1935-2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Brousseau on February 6th, 2023.
Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories for Louise, the love of his life and his devoted wife of 61 years. As a testament to their undying love, she remains the only person he recognized until the very end.
Their love story is one for the ages and will continue to inspire their daughters Lynn (Dave), Diane (Chris), and Lisa (Per), as well as their grandchildren Lauren, James, Michael (Daniel), Eric, Mitchell, Gillian and Andrew. Ray will be deeply missed by the apple of his eye, his great-granddaughter Sadie.
We would like to thank the caring and dedicated staff of the Nazaire Piché nursing home in Lachine for the years of tremendous support and care they extended to Ray.
Ray was a kind soul, whose gentle spirit and droll sense of humour lightened the hearts of those around him. We mourn the loss of an irreplaceable character, and will hold onto his memories as a reminder to always treat people with kindness.
The family will receive condolences at St Veronica’s church, 1300 Carson avenue, Dorval, H9S 1M6 on Saturday February 25 from 10:a.m to 11 a.m. followed by funeral at 11 a.m
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Ray’s name would be appreciated.

Nous t’offrons ainsi qu’aux membres de ta famille nos plus sincères condoléances. Ces mots ne pourront jamais soulager ta peine mais pourront peut-être t’apporter un peu de réconfort. Sache qu’avec le temps, tous les merveilleux souvenirs que tu as partagés avec Raymond remplaceront la douleur causée par son départ. Nos pensées et nos prières vous accompagnent.

Ray was my uncle as a child it was always fun times when he showed up. He exuded positive energy alway the joker. I have many many fond memories. One was at the age of 4 or 5. He patiently showed me how to tie my shoes. The other was many years later having him drive myself and friends to catch a 7 pm bus for out of town. We did not have much time to spare, i can still see him at the wheel not intending to miss the time lime. We made it with a few minutes to spare. I also remember the kindness of him and my aunt having me stay weekends when I was in boarding school. A very kind soul indeed.
