Harry Bawart<\/p>\n

1941-2021<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Arwed \u201cHarry\u201d Bawart, of Dorval, Quebec was born in Vienna, Austria on October 14, 1941 and peacefully passed away on August 8, 2021 in the caring environment of the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, Kirkland, Quebec. He will be remembered by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara, their son, Peter, and his fianc\u00e9e Sabina Kabayeva, two grandsons, Tyler and Ryan, daughter-in-law, Kim, sister, Ilse Meyer, his mother-in-law, Irene Palmer, and numerous friends and family. Harry is predeceased by his parents,Erika and Albert, and his son, Geoffrey.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Harry came to Canada in 1951 from Vienna, Austria with his parents. He became a successful entrepreneur in Lachine, Quebec, and established Metro Linen Rental. This boutique linen business continues to be a vibrant company and is run by his son Peter. His passions were his work and spending time with family and friends. Since retirement he enjoyed his seasonal home on Anna Maria Island, Florida, and travelling to Europe. Just prior to COVID, he cherished the chance to attend the 100th birthday of his uncle in his hometown of Sultz, Austria.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There will be a private funeral at 3 pm on August 14, 2021, atthe JJ Cardinal funeral home, 560 Lakeshore Drive,Dorval,Quebec. In lieu of flowers,please send donations in his memory to Dr. Antel, The Montreal Neurologic Institute, (https:\/\/www.alumni.mcgill.ca\/give) or the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, (https:\/\/residencesoinspalliatifs.com\/en\/donate-now).<\/p>\n
