It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Pelkonen after a six-year battle with cancer.\u00a0 Predeceased by her parents Mary and John Vandermark.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She leaves behind her husband Larry Pelkonen and her son John-Erik. She will be missed by many relatives and friends.<\/p>\n
Barbara was a caring humble person who always put others before herself. She sang in the St-Veronica\u2019s church choir for 35 years and volunteered in the community for 20 years.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The family wishes to thank the staff from the CHSLD Lachine and the oncology department at the Lakeshore Hospital for their kind and attentive care.<\/p>\n
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Lakeshore Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.<\/p>\n
