It is with sadness that Alan announces the peaceful passing of his mother, Madeleine (\u201cConnie\u201d) Chesley on April 22, 2022, at the Centre d\u2019h\u00e9bergement in Lachine at the age of 95.<\/p>\n
Connie will be deeply missed by her sons Alan (Heather Thoms-Chesley) and Brian, her daughter-in-law Heather, and her grandchildren Victoria, Aaron, Nathaniel and Ethan Thoms-Chesley. Also mourning her loss are her nieces and nephews Raymonde, Jean-Guy, Louise, Philippe and Micheline Aubry, Denise Constantineau, and Clare Baxter. She will be especially missed by Raymonde who was like a sister to her and was her most important caregiver during her last years of life.<\/p>\n
Connie was pre-deceased by her loving husband of almost 38 years, Jerry Chesley, her parents Florida and Horace Constantineau, her sister Marguerite, her brothers Gilbert and Laurent, and her nephews Andr\u00e9 Aubry, Claude Constantineau, and Ross Baxter.<\/p>\n
Connie worked as a secretary at Atlas Copco in Dorval and then as a bank teller for the Royal Bank at the Dorval airport where she met and fell in love with Jerry. Connie loved staying in touch with her family members, knitting and making crafts (such as her many warm and beautiful afghans and her Christmas stars), cooking and baking, and throwing parties for her family and close friends from Air Canada. No one will ever forget these wonderful gatherings.<\/p>\n
