On January 29th 2023 in Pointe Claire, Quebec at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Ruth Louise Aldrich passed away at the age of 96 after a brief battle of pancreatic cancer and Covid. She was the ex-wife of Earl Randall.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her children and their spouses Cliff (Diane), Keith, Lyle and Isabel Randall (Richard), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Meryl, Joy, brothers Dan and Dale as well as many other relatives. May she join her late parents Eileen Wood and Ernest Aldrich, and siblings Stanley, Shirley and Patricia in heaven.<\/p>\n
Ruth enlisted in the Canadian Women\u2019s Army Corp. during WWII and spent two years at several bases within Canada. She was very proud of being a former soldier and often talked about her duties and experiences in the Army.
\nShe was an avid reader of novels, loved looking at and sharing old photos, adored watching Christmas romance movies which often turned into movie marathons, loved going out for Sunday brunch and always looked forward to a good cup of coffee and dessert.
\nWe were very fortunate to have her with us for so many years. She was also a wonderful, caring and supportive mother at all times. A true ray of sunshine to all who knew her and will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace dear, sweet Mother.<\/p>\n
The family will receive condolences on June 10th at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home in Dorval (560, Lakeshore Dr., Dorval, QC H9S2B3) from 1p.m to 3 p.m. followed by a chapel service.<\/p>\n
