Born in 1962, in Chateauguay, Quebec, to Joyce (Gucwa) Harris and Leo Harris. From birth, <span class=\"il\">Donna<\/span> faced the challenges of juvenile diabetes, a battle she courageously fought throughout her life, and which ultimately caused complications that led to her passing.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\">Donna<\/span>&#8216;s determination and intelligence shone through in her academic achievements. She graduated from John XXIII High School and from Vanier College as a Special Care Counselor for children. In addition to her academic prowess, <span class=\"il\">Donna<\/span> was a talented athlete, excelling in various sports including skating, skiing, soccer, field hockey, and the DWBHL.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\">Donna<\/span> was a devoted loving mother to her two children, Michael and Matthew. She will be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, unwavering moral compass, kindness, and respect for everyone she encountered.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\">Donna<\/span> was predeceased by her mother, Joyce, and her brother, Chris. She is survived by her father Leo, her beloved husband Robert, their children Michael (Autumn) and Matthew, her granddaughters Isla and Elsie, her brother Kevin (Kerry), nieces Jenna and Kaitlin. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\">Donna<\/span>&#8216;s interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Pointe-Claire in a private family service. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the <a href=\"https:\/\/jdrf.ca\/\">Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Special thanks to the Hemodialysis Department at Lakeshore General Hospital for their care and support since 2004, to the staff at the Lakeshore ICU and Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion.
