It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary in her eighty-second year. Beloved wife (forty-nine years) of Jean Brunelle, cherished aunt to nieces Katherine Mary Elizabeth Edwards (nee Koome), Melissa Patricia Koome, Donna Marie Protheroe, and nephews, Geoffrey John Koome, Gregg Joseph Protheroe, and Todd Protheroe. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Ellen Protheroe (nee Kelly), father, Frederick Archer Joseph Protheroe, her sister, Patricia Anne Koome (nee Protheroe), brothers, Frederick Dennis Protheroe, and John Joseph Protheroe. \u00a0Mary will forever be remembered for her sincerity, humility and compassion, her tireless on the job work ethic, her love of life, and especially for her unqualified love and dedication to family. She is lovingly remembered by numerous friends, and will be sadly missed by all whom had the good fortune to know her.<\/p>\n

Her journey is done, a life well-lived, one to be thankful and eternally grateful for, a life to be celebrated. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus ..\u00a0 no doubt with the Lord\u2019s own words\u00a0 ..\u00a0 \u201cWell done, good and faithful servant\u00a0 ..\u00a0 I have prepared a place for you\u201d. She is in a better place now, at peace with God enjoying eternal bliss, her life\u2019s goal now realized .. \u00a0her life\u2019s reward achieved.<\/p>\n

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 2 – to 5:00 pm at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 chemin du Bord-Du-Lac, Dorval, Qc. H9S 2B3.<\/p>\n

In celebration of Mary\u2019s life, a funeral Mass will be held at St. Veronica Church, 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval, Qc. H9S 1M6 \u00a0on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11:00 am.<\/p>\n
