At age of 81, on April 22, 2021 dearly loved husband (for 59 years), best friend and devoted companion (for 63 years) of Maureen Elaine MacLeod. Much loved father of Bradley (Ingrid) and Norman (Trina), devoted Papa to Kurt, Courtney, Paige, Erika (deceased), Jack, Erin, Brooke, brother of Peggy Jones (deceased), Robert, Richard, uncle to numerous nephews and nieces. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by sister-in-law Judith Dell MacLeod Lallemand and her daughter Amber and Family. Mervyn fought valiantly against the metastasized prostate cancer (while also dealing with memory issues). He showed tremendous courage in the last year, continuing to be a source of inspiration and pride for his family. May he rest in peace in the only place he wished to be, waiting for Maureen to join him eventually in South Granville Cemetery, P.E.I., joining his father-in-law Keir and the entire MacLeod Clan, whom he admired and loved, and by whom he was greatly loved in return.
Arrangements left to J.J. Cardinal funeral home, 514-631-1511.
Private family arrangements have been made according to Mervyn’s wishes.

Merv was a hockey coach, a mentor, a friend. As an impressionable teenager, I was priviledged to have had him in my life at a time when a no-nonsense, straight-shooting role model was what I needed most. I’ll never forget Merv. Maureen, Norm and Brad, as well as the rest of the Clan : my deepest condolences to you all. May he rest in everlasting peace.
Much love,
John Tittel and family.
