Ginette had a two-year-long battle with complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, which significantly affected her quality of life. Tragically, she passed away suddenly from a heart attack on December 21st, leaving us all in mourning.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gerard Maynard (Gerry) and Marie Therese Bazinet. Ginette is survived by her loving husband, Anthony (Tony) Keeler; her daughter, Christina Keeler; her son-in-law, Jamie Sokolsky; and her cherished granddaughter, Mia Sokolsky.
Ginette dedicated the last two decades of her life to being by her daughter’s side, traveling between New York and London to offer love and support when needed. Renowned for her culinary skills, Ginette hosted numerous gatherings, especially her famous Friday night parties, where friends would gather to enjoy her warmth, delicious meals, and infectious spirit.
Known for her kindness, attentiveness, and unwavering affection, Ginette touched the lives of all who knew her. Her love and warmth will be deeply missed by her friends and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
A celebration of Ginette’s life will be held at a later date, and no public funeral will take place. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to https://heartandstrokeinmemory.crowdchange.ca/page/ginettemaynardfightforlife
