Mme Juliette Gardner (nee Mazzaferro)

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 16, at the CHSLD Bussey in Lachine.

Beloved mother of Suzanne Romoff (Sue-Anne) and mother-in-law of Harvey. Predeceased by Henry, devoted husband of 60 years and daughter Dianne (Pearlman). . Gregarious and fun loving, she was a gracious and warm hostess. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends. She was an authentic Italian cook and of all her tantalising recipes, her claim to fame was her meat balls. People came from far and wide to savour Auntie Julie’s meatballs. Her greatest attribute was her smile which she kept until the end. Julie was a resident of the CHSLD Bussey since 2013. Coincidentally it is located where she grew up, where she went to school and where she graduated from Ste-Anne’s convent. I wish to extend my deepest gratitude to Marie-Helen Girard, her administrative staff Doctors, nurses, PAB’s, maintenance staff, chef Norma and Kitchen staff, thank-you for the care, affection and support you gave to my mother during her stay, but most of all, the tenderness you showed to Madame Juliette. You were like a family to us. Thank-you to George Gardner and Mary Scanelle of Little Current Ontario, for support and fireside long distance chats. Finally I thank all my friends for their support during this period.

Visitation on Friday between 12:30 and 2 pm.
