Née Doris Rae McDonald
1919-2022
After months of tender and compassionate care by the angels of the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, Mum slipped away gently on September 14, 2022 to be with Dad.
Loving, inspirational mother of Judith (Jean-Claude), Daniel (Sandra), Susan and Lynn (Philip).
Adored Nana of eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Each remembers Nana’s lap, her Little Mouse stories and receiving real mail from her. Big sister of Dan McDonald, who aptly called her Saint Doris.
A Dorval resident for 71 years, Kit was a font of wonderful stories for the Historical Society.
Referred to fondly by all the family as ‘’Central Control’’ because of her generosity, patience, wisdom, sense of humor, cinnamon buns and macaroni casseroles. Her 340 home was always the favorite place to gather.
Mum never, ever complained. She left us the legacy of her kind spirit so please honor her memory by doing something she would do.
Private arrangements entrusted to JJ Cardinal Funeral Home, Dorval.

My profound love and condolences Judy and all Kit’s family. I had the pleasure of meeting your wonderful mom only once but continue to hold many fond memories of that visit with her. My love and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of such a magnificent human being. Helen Ryan-Surette
