Sincere condolences to Michaela, Alexis and all family members for the loss of your dear Sheila. I had the privilege of working with Sheila for many years and she was a wonderful boss and colleague. A great mentor to many of us, her words of wisdom will be missed. Throughout the years, she has mentioned numerous times the names of her children and grandchildren and would never miss an opportunity to praise your achievements. She was so proud of each daughter, son-in-law, grand daughter and grandson. She has touched many hearts and has spread much love. Such a kind woman. Sheila will never be forgotten . May she Rest In Peace.
My most sincere condolences to Sheila’s dear daughters, grandchildren and brother and sisters in law. I worked with Sheila for many years, she was a great friend, a lovely person. I adored her. She was always there for her friends and family. She accompanied me many times to my chemo treatments and was the person that helped me through the pain of losing my husband. I cannot tell you how much i will miss her. I I know that she is now with her dear Doug and they will dance to the end of love for ever..

What a nice picture of her and a beautiful testimony that describes well the beautiful lady of heart that was Sheila! It was a great privilege for me to work with her on a daily basis as a colleague during all these years and a great pleasure to count among her friends at that time.
My most sincere condolences to her daughters and family who were so dear to her heart.

Michalea, my sincere condolences to you and all your family on the loss of your mother. Thinking of you at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to learn about Sheila’s death…..I had the honour and joy of knowing her back in the 1980s, when she followed me as Co-ordinator of the West Island Community Resource Centre, and we worked together on community challenges and organizing for many years after that. I also saw Sheila in action as a social worker when I chaired the Board of CLSC Lac-Saint-Louis and she was on the staff team. I will remember her caring, her beautiful smile, her readiness to help others. While we didn’t see each other often in recent years, I will hold in my memory and my heart a brief and unexpected « visit » we had in a Dorval parking lot during the pandemic. We kept safely distanced, but the joy of seeing each other felt warm and close. My deep sympathy to everyone who knew and loved her – I know her spirit and values will shine on for us all.
Nos pensées accompagnent votre famille dans ces moments difficiles. Recevez nos sincères condoléances.

I first knew Sheila in the early 1980s…..when she succeeded me as Director of the newly-created West Island Community Resource Centre. We were both passionate about the role of community organizations in supporting people needing help. We went on to work together again after Sheila became a social worker at CLSC Lac-Saint-Louis, when I chaired the Board of Directors. Sheila’s genuine interest in the well-being of people and her warmth and wonderful smile, added to her practical thinking and professional skills brought support and relief to many during her career at the CLSC, and won her the high regards of her colleagues. Our paths didn’t cross often after we both retired, but that did happen in a shopping centre parking lot several months ago, and our brief chat left me with the warmth of her smile and her energy. Those memories will be happy ones, while I mourn her loss from our lives.
