Mme Sophie Tania Nosko-Oboroniw

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sophie Tania Nosko-Oboroniw at the age of 95. Tania is predeceased by her husband Eugene and her beloved daughter, Ann.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Irene and Katherine.  »Baba » was cherished by her grandchildren, Jennifer(Craig), Tetiana, Elysia, Vincent and Alanna.
She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren who loved her very much. Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Tania built a life in Lachine, Quebec and throughout her life, she greatly contributed to her Ukrainian community both here and in Ukraine.
The family would like to sincerely thank the dedicated staff at CHSLD Chateau sur le lac for taking wonderful care of Tania in the last few years of her life.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday September 22 from 9:30-10:30 at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home 2125 Rue Notre Dame, Lachine. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St-George 880 Rue Saint-Antoine, Lachine. This will be followed by a reception at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home.

Tania was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St-George and donations in her memory to the church would be greatly appreciated.
