M. Allan Douglas Elston Granger

Allan Douglas Elston Granger of Lachine, QC., died at the age of 85, on Sunday, September 18, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Allan was employed at GE Canada Lachine for many years and Maislin Transort Ltd. where he retired. He had a great love for ice skating, cross country skiing, fishing and boating, cycling with friends, and growing his flower gardens (greenest thumb of all), all animals (Ginger his dog), baking, and family gatherings.

Allan’s love and compassion for his mother and family never faltered, he was always present to care for them. He will forever be in our hearts.

Allan is survived by his youngest sister Elizabeth (Douglas Goodfellow), and many loved nieces, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by his beloved Mother Annie (Gunson) Granger; Father William “Bill” Granger; loving brothers George, Ernie, Gilbert, Gordon, Walter, Lawrence and sisters Madeline, Evelyn, and Florence.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 2pm-17pm and 19pm-21pm, at the J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre-Dame street, Lachine (www.jjcardinal.ca, 514-639-1511). The funeral service in the chapel at the J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home will be Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10h30am, followed by the burial at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 701 Donegani Ave, Pointe-Claire, Quebec H9R 5G6.
