1946 – 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, son of the late Maurine Martin and Reginald Russell and brother Niall Russell. John passed away peacefully on May 3,2023 at Lachine Hospital He will be missed by his sister and brother-in-law Diana and Ron dePol his niece and nephews Andrea Minter, Brandon,Sean and Chad dePol and many great nieces and nephews, family and friends
John was a great baseball, hockey and golf enthusiast. He loved his many canine friends and had a passion for growing tomatoes and sharing the bounty with his neighbours, friends and family.
A heart felt thank you to his Special Friends for their support and love in the past few years
Thank you also to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Lachine Hospital.
In leu of flowers donations can be made at Canadian Cancer Society or a donation of your choice

John Russell I remember as a sweet and gentle kid I knew from growing up in Dixie
Sorry my friend …. You and my brother Christopher are now together probably still figuring how to keep the critters eating your tomatoes. Rest In Peace.
Sincere condolences to the family. I worked with John in the lab of GE (Dominion Engineering) many years ago. I remember that he was a great guy. Had many good times. R.I.P. John.
