1954 – 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph (Joe) Sullivan on April 19, 2024 at the age of 69.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Linda; children, Lynus, Davin (Jennifer); grandchildren, Penelope, Levi, Seamus; by his siblings and other family and friends.
Joe met Linda while studying in Ottawa. They married in 1981 after settling in the Montreal area. Education was very important to him, and as such, he completed his BSc and MSc in Analytical Chemistry while working for the Pulp and Paper Research Institute of Canada, then FP Innovations as an Analytical Research Chemist. Together Joe and Linda enjoyed camping, cycling, hiking and travel. Joe would spend his free time staying up to date on the latest discoveries in almost every field of science.
Joe always put his family first; he loved spending time with his sons discussing whichever projects they were working on, he enjoyed sharing his love of mechanics with the boys, and aiding them in anyway possible. His greatest joy were his grandchildren; he loved watching their antics, listening to their stories, chasing them, and spending time together sharing his love of sciences.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Our heartfelt sympathy to you Linda, Lynus, Davin and their families. I am not sure there was ever a day when you did not mention Joe, the boys or your grandchildren with great affection. Joe’s absence will change many parts of your life but his memory will live on through your loving stories. Wishing you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
