M. Kain Smith

It’s with a heavy heart we announce his passing. He is so loved, so missed and so very dear. He leaves behind his beloved wife Janis Horan, sons Mitchell (Tina) and Robert “Bobby” (Katia), granddaughter Elizabeth and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his dear daughter Vicky. He was born in Philadelphia and settled in Montreal in the 70’s. He enjoyed his life to the fullest. This included many trips to Barbados with family and friends, love of all sports especially baseball, all kinds of music, entertaining, doing helpful things at his much loved home in Pointe-Claire, cigars and wobbly-pops with company to name a few. At his request there will not be any visitation, family and friends will be notified to join in a celebration of his life at a later date at his Pointe-Claire home. Special thanks to staff at Lakeshore General Hospital (4West and ICU) that gave him great care and kindness. Those who wish may donate in Kain’s name to this hospital.
