Passed away peacefully in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Cécile Bélanger.
Loving father of Michèle (Sébastjan), Jason (Nathalie), Nathan (Frédéricka) and proud grandfather of 8 grand-children: Alyssa, Brianna, Carter, Saoirse, Ellington, Dior, Veronica, Bronson . Uncle to cherished nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Katie, his brother Michael (Sandra) and sister Ann.
He will be remembered as a committed educator in the West Island and an active community volunteer.
He will be missed by many colleagues and friends.
The family will receive condolences at St. Veronica’s Church (1300 Carson, Dorval, H9S 1M6) at 10:00 on Saturday, May 13, 2023, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30. Funeral services entrusted to J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, (560 Bord-du-Lac/Lakeshore, Dorval, 514-631-1511)

We first met Owen and Ceci many years ago at their home in Dorval. Martha and I are the parents of Sebastjan who would later marry Michele, their daughter. Owen was very friendly, open and welcoming. For a number of years we would see them – once a year -at the Ottawa home of Michele and Sebastjan. When they married a great celebration followed and we amicably conferred on the arrangements. I remember his sense of humor and very down to earth manner. May his soul find the kingdom of heaven.
