Mme Barbara Clarke (née Goodin)

Barbara Clarke (née Goodin), 94, passed away peacefully at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence on December 7, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

 

Barbara grew up in Jamaica, and later came to Montreal where she met and married Richard Talbot Clarke, and worked at Charles E. Frosst and Co., which later became Merck Frosst before she retired.

 

Barbara became a valued member of St-Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Pierrefonds, and forged close ties with the faith community at Le Cambridge in Pointe-Claire, and with Saint Thimothy’s Anglican Bible Church.  Barbara had a deep desire to share God’s love with everyone she met. By her thoughtfulness and kindness, and her constant concern for those in need, she touched the lives of many people. Barbara will be dearly missed and always remembered.

 

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Richard, her brother John, and her nephew Michael. She is survived by her sister Eileen, her nephew David (Kathy), Angelika, and her great nieces and nephew.

 

A funeral service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at St-Michael and All Angels Church in Pierrefonds on Friday, January 12, 2024. Visitation will take place at the church at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence https://residencesoinspalliatifs.ca/en/donate/ are welcome.
