1953-2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Claudia Weijers announces her passing on Tuesday, March 15, 2021, after a sudden illness, at the age of 67 years. Claudia will be lovingly remembered by her father Paul, brother Michael (Nita), niece Jamie, and great-niece Lily. Claudia was predeceased by her mother Hannemarie. She will be fondly remembered by her dear friend Wendy as well as many other friends .
Born in Germany, Claudia emigrated to Canada with her parents in 1957, where she later attended John Grant and Lachine High Schools. Claudia worked for many years at McGill University. She studied theology at Concordia university and obtained an MA.
She was an enthusiastic member of the McGill Choral Society for thirty years where she enjoyed singing and the companionship of fellow members.
The family has made private arrangements at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 rue Notre Dame, Lachine, Quebec. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Claudia to the charity of their choice.
