M. Nicola Sollazzo

M. Nicola Sollazzo

1945 – 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicola Sollazzo on September 23rd, 2021, at the age of 76. He was a beloved husband of 54 years to Filomena, devoted father to Laura (Marco), Claudia (Sergio), Sergio (Teresa), and an affectionate grandfather to Sofia, Thomas, Elisa, Camilla, Alessia, and Andrea. Cherished brother to Maria, Mario (Lucia), and the late Giovanni (Assunta). He will be deeply missed by his father-in-law Vincenzo Carnevale, his sister-in-law Antonietta (Richard), his brother-in-law Terenzio (Loredana) and his nieces and nephews.

Nicola leaves a legacy of selfless giving to those in need, hard work accompanied by a passion for life and travel, a playfulness most seen when with his adoring grandchildren, and love of family and friends.  Although he leaves a great void in our lives, as he moves on to eternal life, his smile and the wonderful memories will forever remain with us.
The family will receive condolences at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre-Dame, Lachine on Thursday September 30th, from 2:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Missione dell’Annunziata 4360 Broadway, Lachine on Friday, October 1st at 10:00am thence to the Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges Cemetery for a private burial. The church ceremony will also broadcast online at http://www.flux.studio/NicolaSollazzo

The family would like to thank Dr. Assayag, Nurse Hanh and the entire SRSAD team for their
excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Nicola Sollazzo to the Montreal Chest Institute Fund of the MUHC Foundation: https://muhcf.akaraisin.com/ui/giveinmemory/p/NicolaSollazzo
