M. Peter Roy Girard

1959-2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Roy Girard on July 4, 2020, after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 60.

Beloved husband of Quilina Lubrun, stepdad to Martha, Tenda and Quain and loving grandfather to Valyntina, Shaquain, Adelliah, Hydiea, Atalia and Jerlan. Peter was the cherished son of Ruby Benko and stepson of the late Attila Benko. He leaves to mourn his sister, Cheryl, brother, Jim (Heather) and cousin, David (Robin). He will be greatly missed by his sisters in-law: Angela, Barbara, Virgic, Anita, Hylda, Dena, brothers in-law: Vincent, Joseph, Edwin and Cherbie, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Peter, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. You will always be remembered as a kind and generous soul.

Visitations to take place at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre-Dame, Lachine (www.jjcardinal.ca 514-639-1511) on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by the funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 am, thence to Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery for burial.

In lieu of flowers, Peter wished that donations be made to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
