M. Warren D. (Skip) Snair

M. Warren D. (Skip) Snair

1943-2021

Warren D. (Skip) Snair, 77, passed away peacefully at his home on February 10,2021. Skip led
a storied life with many fascinating chapters such as « Like Young » dancer, Lake Tahoe Ski Host,
Concert Promoter at Donald K. Donald, Rolling Stones Tour Manager, Mixologist Extraordinaire
at Derek’s, Ice-Cream Magnate at Scoops, columnist in the Sunday Express… the list goes on!
Skip will be remembered for his charitable nature and creativity – giving so much of his time and passion to the annual CHOM Rock Auction for the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Skip’s joie de vivre was infectious. He loved so many things, but above all his family, the city of Montreal and his many, many friends. No one valued friendship more than he did.
Skip was a notorious storyteller. Over the years, many people asked him to write a book on his
rock ‘n’ roll years. He always said, “I would if I could remember any of it “. (Probably best for all concerned that he forgot!)
Of course, Skip, we shall not forget you. We are the beneficiaries of your love, your friendship,
and your mischief. You made this sometimes-drab world a better place and it’s just a bit darker
now that you’re gone.

Skip is survived by his sister Wendy Rhodes and brother-in-Law Stephen Rhodes (Campbellville, ON), brother Bob Snair and sister-in-law Cathy Snair (Scottsdale, AZ), nephew Graham Peddie (Oakville ON), niece Tara Evershed (Cambridge, ON) niece Lindsay Dell’Ergo (Cave Creek, AZ) and Michael Rhodes (Dundas, ON).
In light of Covid, the family has decided to hold a Celebration of Life in Montreal in late summer to share memories and relive Skip’s stories with family and friends.
