(March 31, 1921 – April 11, 2020)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother after a long life of 99 years.
Predeceased by her husband, Giovanni, and son, Joe, she leaves to mourn her daughter, Antonietta (Luigi), her daughter-in-law, Maria, her grandchildren, Nadia (Remo), Paola, Marco (Marylou), Milena, and Anthony (Gail), and her great-grandchildren, Mara, Luca, Eva, Amanda, Steven, Mauro, Massimo, Giovanni and Emmitt. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Maria Venditti Manocchio. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews and friends in Montreal, Toronto, USA and Italy. Maria will be remembered as being a devoted and hard-working mother and for her strong and passionate spirit.
The family would like to thank the staff at CSSS-DLL Residence at the LaSalle Hospital for their care over the last several years.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at a future date. A ceremony via Zoom video conference will be held on Thursday April 16 at 12:30. Burial to follow at Le Repos Saint-François d’Assise, 6893 Sherbrooke St E, Montreal, Quebec H1N 1C7.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer and Dementia Society.
