Mr. Settimio De Rubeis

We announce to the world that our father, Settimio DeRubeis, has completed his allocated circle of life. Silently, peacefully and surrounded by his children, he said goodbye to this world and all the people he loved here. He now begins his joyful reunion with his loved ones in heaven. Our hearts are heavy but we join him in elation as he is now free from the burdens of this life and basking in the glory of our Father in heaven. He’ll have them growing heavenly tomatoes in no time.

He leaves to mourn his wife Domenica Rossi, his children Mario (Denise), Anthony/Tony (Emilia), Teresa (Domenico) and Raffaele (Hélène), his grandchildren Sacha (Phil), Sébastien (Kimberly), Daniel (Gail), Emily and Kayla, his great-grandchildren Luca, Matteo, Jacob, Zoe, Mia and Michael, along with many friends and relatives.

The family will receive condolences at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre-Dame, Lachine (www.jjcardinal.ca 514-639-1511) on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 2pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm and on Wednesday, May 15, from 9:30am-10:30am followed by the funeral mass at Missione del Annunziata Church, 4360 Broadway, Lachine at 11am. Thence to Lachine Cemetery for burial.

The family acknowledges that many of you will want to send flowers as a demonstration of your love for Tsi Settimio. We appreciate it, however, in lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity that helps feed people, especially young children. He was a gardener and he grew things that fed people, let your donation help someone in need, he would have liked that.

Annunciamo al mondo che nostro padre, Settimio DeRubeis, ha completato la sua cerchia di vita assegnata. Silenziosamente, pacificamente e circondato dai suoi figli, ha detto addio a questo mondo ea tutte le persone che ha amato qui e ora inizia la sua gioiosa riunione con i suoi cari in cielo. I nostri cuori sono pesanti ma ci uniamo a lui in esaltazione perché ora è libero dai fardelli di questa vita e crogiolandosi nella gloria del nostro Padre celeste. quindi cresceranno i pomodori celesti in pochissimo tempo.
