Mr. Francesco Testa

1923-2022

It is with immense sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear, sweet, Francesco Testa, at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) on Friday June 10th, 2022, at the age of 98. Born in Italy to the late Maddalena and Biagio Testa, he came to Canada for a better life in 1949. He married the late Filippa Parisella in the mid 50s and together they raised two children – Marisa Testa (late Tiziano Giacomini) and the late Magno Testa. He was a kind man, always ready to greet you with the twinkle in his eyes and his beautiful smile. He has left a huge hole in the lives of the people that loved him.

Resting at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre Dame, Lachine, Quebec H8S 2G5 Tel 514.639.1511. Visitation will be held on Monday June 20th from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday June 21st from 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Francesco Testa Memorial fund at the JGH would be appreciated.

Papa, sei andato via in pace e serenita, senza sofferenza. Dio, per favore, concedi a mio padre il suo meritato eterno riposo.

My last remaining uncle will be sorely missed, not only because of his longevity, but for his warm personality and dedication to gardening and tasks around the home. We pray that he is now in a better place with all the departed family members. I am sure that the trees and gardens will now show the fruits of his presence. Thank you Uncle Frank for all you have meant to us.
