1935 – 2023
It is with profound sadness that Herbie’s family announces his passing on May 16, 2023, at the age of 87. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Pirkko, his sons Scott (Melissa), Kevin (Chantal), grandson Austin, sister Mildie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Ernie, Rolie, and Jean.
The family is eternally grateful to the staffs of the Valleyfield, Lakeshore, Jewish General, and Anna Laberge Hospitals, as well as the CLSC for the many years of compassionate care.
Visitation will be at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval (514-631-1511 www.jjcardinal.ca) on Sunday May 28th, between 11am and 1pm, followed by the service and a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation, or a charity of one’s choice.
