Jerome J. Gilbert Franklin Martin, died unexpectedly on November 24, 2023. He was 82 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Jerome was born on June 14, 1941 in St. Leonard, New Brunswick and was the youngest of 11 children.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years, Linda Martin (nee Brisebois) and his daughters, Elaine (Danny Whiteman) and Loraine (Salvatore Di Vincenzo). He was adored by his four grandsons: James (Tiffany), Kyle, Joey and Samuel. He was also blessed to be great-grandpa to Lucas and Amelia.
He is survived by two of his sisters, Pauline (late Ralph March) of Pennsylvania and Joanne (Pete Huntress) of Maine. He is also mourned by his sister-in-law, Sandra Trudel. He was an active uncle and stayed connected with his nieces and nephews through the years. He enjoyed all his golfing adventures with his nephews both in Canada and the US. Family was everything to him and he was also a great friend and neighbor. His family is extremely grateful for the help they received from his nephews Danny and Paul, especially in the last years. An extra special thank you goes to his friend, Roger Smythe for always lending a hand.
He was a kind and thoughtful soul and he will be missed and remembered not only by his family, but also numerous friends. Even though he was known to be a little stubborn, he was still someone who was taken home too soon. His family hopes he is enjoying 18 holes of golf daily with those of his buddies who have passed before him. Jerome, everyone you left in this world is sad that you are gone but we are happy that you are home free and painless. We will always love and miss you…until we can meet again.

Jerome, we will miss you terribly. May you R.I.P. XXX
Jerome. you will be sadly mised but we are grateful for your kindness, your friendship and your generosity, R.I.P.
Uncle Jerome, having known you all my life, I have only the fondest of memories of you visiting us at home, laughing, joking and sharing the funniest stories with me and my sisters, Theresa and Cathy as we were growing up. You brought so much joy into our lives and we always looked forward to when you would drop by. You were generous with your time when my mother, Patricia, needed your help, never forgetting that she was your older sister. Thank you for being compassionate, loyal to family and proud of your roots. Sending my deepest condolences to Auntie Linda, Elaine and Loraine. May you have comfort in knowing that Uncle Jerome was loved and will be deeply missed.

I am saddened to know that you have left us so early.
Thank you for your kindness and for being such wonderful neighbor. You will be missed and I will be their for Linda whenever she needed me. My sympathies to the families and friends. Be strong knowing he is gone to a better place to rest where there is no more pain, snow or sickness. Sleep in peace my dear neighbor.
