We were so very saddened to read of Pat’s passing. Pat & I would reminisce about days gone by. Family visits to Campbell’s Bay when he was young. My parents, Ray & Geraldine Bowie were always happy to spend time with the Griffin’s when they would make a trip from Montreal to the Pontiac.
Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your father, brother & grandfather. He spoke of you all with much love.
Sincerely, John & Sheila (Bowie) Lawn, Campbell’ Bay

    Remembering Patrick,
Pat was one of my best friends in high school at Bishop Whelan and at St. Joseph’s Teachers College. We hung around, played no sports, went for pizza, and laughed a lot. In 2010 Pat tracked me down here in Ontario and came to visit. It was as if the 50 years in-between had never happened. He was still as funny as ever. I’m so sad to hear of his death. My condolences to his family and friends.

Thank you so much for your kind words and sharing your memories of our Dad, with us. Happy to hear he found you again after all those years and you were able to reconnect. I do remember hearing your name more than once! 🙂 He will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear of Patrick’s passing. I went to Teachers College with him. He was a great friend and often called me to tell me of any news about people we had gone to St. Joseph’s teachers college with. I will miss him. RIP Pat. I am sure we will meet again in Heaven.

Hi. I taught with Patrick at Bishop Whelan High School in 1967 – 1968. I was Brother Gerald ( a Christian Brother) and we were eager young teachers that year. I have a lot of fond memories of the group of us young teachers at Bishop Whelan. He always had a smile on his face and was a lot of fun to be around. I last saw him about 10 years ago when I visited the “breakfast” group at a local restaurant while visiting Montreal.
Sorry to hear about his passing.

    Dear Griffin Family,
Please accept my condolences and those of the Green family on the passing of Pat. We have many happy memories of years gone by. Ricky was reminiscing about Mr. Griffin taking Brendan and himself to the Railway Museum when they were little. It was a great experience. Pat was kind and jovial. May God rest his soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.and we are sending hugs.
    Love,
    Karen xo

Pat was one of my favorite teachers at BW and we kept in touch for all years after with other alumni and friends. Certainly a man of many talents, including his beautiful art and wonderful wit. I’m going to sorely miss our occasional brunches and other restaurant get-togethers, not to mention our daily contacts and joke exchanges on Face Book. Such a great guy, friend, and mentor. Rest in peace dear Pat.

Had breakfast with Pat, and Gerry Boucher last year. Again this past January when Brian Doyle joined us. Great conversation and his jokes put a smile on all of us. Had him as a teacher back in the 70’s. May you continue teaching and telling your jokes upstairs, Rest in Peace, Mr. Griffen
