1933 – 2024
Edna Frances Jewer, nee Pasher, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Born in 1933 in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Edna was the beloved wife of Ronald Jewer. Together, they built a beautiful family and life in Laval, Quebec.
Edna was a devoted mother to her children: Norman, Douglas, Donna (Dan), William (Susan) and Steven. She and Ron passionately supported and nurtured their love of sports and music, and their home was filled with friends and laughter. Edna was also a cherished grandmother, known as Nana, to her six grandchildren: Matthew, Kelly, Daniel, Sarah, Meghan, and Jordan. The name “Nana” lovingly stuck with the rest of the family.
Edna was the last of her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and MaryAnn Pasher, her siblings Herb, Michael, Clifford, James, Malvin, Clarence, Neil, Alice, Mary, and her dear sister Lillian.
Edna will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and infectious laugh! Her presence will be deeply missed at the Thanksgiving and Christmas table, where fond memories will be shared for years to come.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at J.J. Cardinal, 560 Bord-du Lac, Dorval, H9S2B3 on Saturday, August 24 from 3pm till 7pm for visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated by the family: Home | Arthritis Society Canada
