1919 – 2021
Our dear Mum passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of April 12, 2021 in the presence of her daughters Nicole and Jocelyne.
She was a loving and incredible mother to 9, grandmother to 28, great-grandmother to 46 and great-great-grandmother to 12. Pre-deceased by her husband Donat Lalande and son Jean-
Guy (Miriam Wood), she is survived by Patsy, Victoria (Ross Pedersen), Ronny (Sylvia Stevens), Albert (Jacqueline Ouellette), Judith (Brian Herring), Nicole (Peter Milukow, deceased), Michael (Delora Pashley) and Jocelyne (John Mahoney).
Mum was real. She loved to laugh and had a lovely warm spirit and a beautiful smile. She has been an inspiration to all of us throughout our lives on how to keep moving forward no matter what life may throw your way. She was so loved and she will be so missed.
Our sincere thanks to Dr. Genevieve Brooks Legault and nurse, Maude Whissell, from CLSC Dorval-Lachine for their kind and compassionate care towards Mum. A huge thank you to Maison Donalda-Boyer Residence in Dorval for all the kindness and support they gave Mum over the last two years.
As per Lily’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Her ashes will be buried alongside her parents in the cemetery in Valleyfield at a later date.
Donations in her memory can be made to The Montreal Gazette Christmas fund.

Our sincere sympathies to the entire family on the loss of your mom, gramma and great-gramma. She lived to a remarkable age but nevertheless, the loss hurts. She was an inspiration to many. We can still remember her walking to the Dixie meets to watch her grandchildren. She always had a smile when we saw her. May the many memories of her bring you comfort. Hugs to all of you. Sincerely, Joan & Colin
I delivered books from the Dorval Library to your Mom for a year before she moved to the Donalda Boyer Residence. She was just a delightful lady, always positive and with a wonderful sense of humour. I missed our little talks after she moved. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your Mom.
Our Nana Lily was gracious, kind, and caring, yet also feisty, fiery, and fiercely independent.
She spoke her mind and opened her heart.
She ended each conversation with the instructions to “take care of each other. “
She was the best of us.
Love you Nana,
Wade, Marika and Kiana Pedersen
