Mrs Mary Patricia Dickson Turcotte

In Loving Memory of

Mary Patricia Dickson Turcotte

June 1920 – December 2023

Beloved

Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt

On December 28th, 2023 at CHSLD Camille Lefebvre city of Lachine, our family said goodbye to Patricia Dickson Turcotte devoted wife to Julien Turcotte for 44 years, cherished  Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Friend.

We will come together on January 4, 2024, 9 a.m.,  ceremony will follow at 10 a.m. at Sts-Anges church, 1400 St. Joseph, Lachine, QC, H8S 2M8; to celebrate the life of Patricia after 103 years of a blessed life full of love and compassion. A cherished member of the community, Patricia’s life was one of love, family, and service.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her family of four children (Christina (Al), Richard (Suzanne), Linda (Frank) and Michael (Johanne).  Her four grandchildren (Deborah (Erik), Danielle (Shane), Steven, and Raymond (Tania), and four great-grandchildren (Kristian, Seamus, Spencer and Jade). The memories we have of our time together will be forever in our hearts.

For over 18 years, Patricia and Julien owned and operated the local grocery store “Marché Turcotte.” The business was more than just a store; it allowed them to provide not only for their family but quickly became a staple in the heart of the community.   Patricia was always attentive to families and children in need, always present to offer support and assistance to those who needed it most. Her warmth and generosity extended far beyond her family, touching the lives of neighbors, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

As we remember Patricia, let us carry forward the lessons of love, community, and resilience that she so beautifully exemplified in her long life.  Her life was marked by her selflessness and generosity. She had an ability to give of herself without hesitation or expectation of anything in return.  Her acts of kindness will not soon be forgotten by all those who had the opportunity to know and love her.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that donations be made in Patricia’s name to one of the charities listed below. Patricia was not only dedicated to the people in her community but also loved animals. Her faith in God guided her throughout her life, and we are all fortunate to have had the opportunity to know her and to be part of her beautiful life.

Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends. Mme Turcotte was a lovely lady. We are very glad to have known her and to consider her a friend. She was interesting, energetic , and a very kind soul. We always enjoyed our balcony visits when she lived in her precious home on 16th ave. We will forever walk by and remember her sitting there, always with a welcoming smile , a story to tell, or an ear to listen. She will be missed.

Christina, Linda and all the family. My sincere condolences on the passing of your dear Mother. Living close by in my youth, the Turcotte grocery store was our store and we had great memories. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Turcotte.
