1945- 2025
Born in St-Malachie, Quebec, on April 4, 1945, son of the late John Fitzmorris and the late Amelia Kelly, Edwin passed away in Lachine on December 19, 2025, at the age of 80.
He was the former husband of Paula-Lise Forgues.
He is survived by his daughters Julie (Benoit) and Caroline (Alain), his grandchildren Sophie (Mathieu) and Christopher (Audrey), his brother Linus (Renée Belleau), his sisters Veronica (the late Jean-Paul Avril), Mary (Jean-Guy Viel), Aileen (Jacques Létourneau), Lena, and Janet (Mario Tremblay), his goddaughter Anne Avril (Charles), his nieces and nephews Kevin, Yann, Sara, Brigitte, Philip, Adèle, Émilie, Olivia, Élaine, Simon, Kim and Frédéric, as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews, his friends, and all those who loved him.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. The family will gather privately to celebrate his life.
You are invited to share your memories and stories of Edwin. The family will take the time to read each tribute with gratitude.

You always climbed to the highest branch of the apple trees on our farm in St-Malachie. and you ate the wild cherries until you were almost sick.
You skated, played tennis, football and golf.
You told me what team you were rooting for every Super Bowl.
You called me asking what’s up ?, anything new ?, how’s everyone ?
You followed the hurricane season and called, more than once, asking if our little home was safe. You worried more than us.
You loved all of us, especially, your girls Julie, Caroline and your grandkids Sophie, Christopher.
I Love you and will miss you !
