Mrs. Norma Jackson, nee Pain

1929 – 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Norma Jackson (Pain), who left us peacefully at the age of 95 with family by her side.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and volunteer, she was known for her unwavering love and support to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Norma was a passionate and active volunteer, devoting countless hours to Girl Guides, Meals on Wheels, VON, foster children and any cause needing a helping hand.  Her selflessness and dedication were a testament to her generous spirit.

Norma is predeceased by her parents Buller and Elsie Pain, husband Bruce and son George.  She will be missed dearly by her children Allan “Jake” (Linda), Donald, Barb (Gregg), Bev (Tony), daughter in law Cathy, many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Norma led a remarkable life, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, service and love which will live on in the many lives she touched.

Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Château Sur Le Lac, Sainte-Geneviève.

Visitation will be held at J.C. Cardinal Dorval on Dec 7, 2024 at 1:30 pm, directly followed by a memorial service at 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Volunteer West Island (Meals on Wheels) in her honour.

Kathryn and I were so sorry to hear about the death of your wonderful Mom, Norma Jackson. Our families were long time neighbors, first in Dorval, and then for many years in Roxboro. Our Mom Dorothy and Norma were great friends and shared many happy moments together. As well as a wonderful Mom and friend Mrs. J. was a leader in the community. Amongst her areas of involvement, she empowered girls (including us) through her work with the girl guides. She left her mark on our family and we will remember her always with love and appreciation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family. May her memory be with you always.
