À l’Hôpital Général Lakeshore, Pointe-Claire, le 02 janvier 2020, à l’âge de 88 ans est décédée paisiblement de la maladie d’Alzheimer, madame Leila Michel Zaher, épouse de feu Fouad Boutros Asfour.
Mère et grand-mère aimante, généreuse, persévérante et courageuse, son départ a créé un grand vide dans nos cœurs.
Elle laisse dans le deuil, sa fille Paula Asfour (Louis), son fils Rajai Asfour (Adriana) et ses deux petits-enfants Natalie et Roberto.
La cérémonie de crémation a été célébrée en famille, à la Résidence funéraire J.J. Cardinal, 560 Chemin Bord-du-Lac, Dorval, Québec, le 08 janvier 2020 à 16 h.
Les funérailles ont été célébrés à l’Église de La Présentation de la Sainte-Vierge, 665 Avenue de l’Église, Dorval, Québec, le 18 janvier 2020 à 12h30m.

You are now among angels and I am so happy you are finally in peace. Although your loss leaves a blank that can never be filled, you are in a much better place now. You have been extremely strong and brave during all your life that your time to rest has come.
I will never forget the amazing, incredible women you were. You always wore red lipstick and had red long nails, you were always so elegant and well dressed. You would smoke cigarillos and drink cognac or caipirinha to emphasize how much of a badass you were. You were always in a good mood, always so kind and well mannered. I still remember how you would only buy me the best things, the most expensive clothing and even the most delicious ice cream. I remember how you were one of the best cooks who ever existed. You cooked so but so well that even though I was a little girl I still remember the smell of your kitchen. I remember your perfume so well that I can even feel your presence. I know you’ll never leave my side and no matter where I am you’ll be looking out for me. You were the most amazing mother, the most loving grandmother and a huge friend. You will forever be missed and loved. Words cannot describe my love for you. I wish you nothing but peace. Thank you for all the memories and all the love you provided me. I love you. E o que será, será, whatever will be, will be!
