Mr. Albert Edward Wilson

1943-2023

Al passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s hospital on October 30th, after a four long year battle with cancer.  He burned the candle at both ends but what a glorious light.

He was predeceased by his parents, George Wilson and Mary O’Brien Wilson, his sisters Georgina Wilson of Pointe Claire and Baroness Mary Von Boye-Morch of Denmark.   His sister Roberta Swettingham of Pincourt survives him.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna Dupuis, and Nora Michel, the mother of his children: his son, Rob, and his children Rebecca, Adam and Vanessa of London Ontario; and his daughter, Christine, and her children Braeden and Jordyn of Pincourt.   His stepdaughters: Tanya, and her daughters Alana and Erika, Tina, and Katrina and her sons Daniel and Anthony, as well as Kaiden, his great grandson.

The Wilson family: Mom, Dad and two sisters and Al immigrated from Scotland to Canada after the Second World War and settled in Beaurepaire.

Al started his career at Arcweld in the early sixties and left in the mid-seventies to pursue new ownership of a Sunoco station in Valois Bay. He then left to start Al’s Garage in the early-eighties on Ashgrove and Donegani in Pointe Claire.  He then went on to start a twenty-three year long career at Air Canada in the wheel and brake shop, from which he retired.

Al loved boating on Lake St. Louis, for many years.  A highlight was a boating trip through the Rideau Canal, with his wife, Donna; a great experience with many wonderful memories.

Our father was a thrill seeker ahead of his time and he loved all things fast: airplanes, cars, boats, and motorcycles. Fond childhood memories were going for a ride with him on his motorcycle when he got in from work.  He could always be found tinkering around in his garage and knew how to fix absolutely anything.

Loved by many, missed by all.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

A donation in Al’s name to the On Rock Food Bank Pierrefonds would be greatly appreciated.

Death is more universal than life.

Everyone dies,

Not everyone lives.

HE LIVED.
