Mr. Bohdan Moroz

Bohdan Moroz passed away peacefully after a courageous fight with cancer on October 5, 2022, at the Dorothy Ley Hospice in Etobicoke, Ontario.

 

Bohdan was born in Walbrzych, Poland on June 4, 1956 to parents Jozef Moroz (deceased) and Tekla Skurczak (deceased). He emigrated to Canada with his parents in 1963. His sister, Helen, was born soon after their arrival. Bohdan grew up in the Ukrainian community in Lachine, Quebec and he was a member of CYM.  Bohdan moved to Toronto in 2006 to be closer to his sister and her family.

 

Bohdan is survived by his sister Helen, nephew Zachary, and brother-in-law Adam as well as many relatives in Ukraine, Canada, England, Germany and the US.

Visitation will be held at JJ Cardinal Funeral Home at 2125 Notre-Dame, Lachine, QC on October 12, 2022 from 6-9 p.m., panakhyda will be at 7:30. A Funeral Service will be held at Saint Basil the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church, 875 Provost St., Lachine QC H8S1M8 on October 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal, Canada Ukraine Foundation https://www.cufoundation.ca/.

    Helen and family, we are so sorry for the loss of your brother, Bohdan. We had hoped to attend the visitation, but are recovering from Covid. He was lucky to have had such a caring and devoted sister as you. Our sincere condolences. Natalie and James (Turko-Slack).
