Mr. Christopher Harris

Mr. Christopher Harris

1971  –  2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Christopher Harris on January 15th.

Family, friends and colleagues meant everything to Chris. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He was a kind and gentle soul that touched so many of those that had the good fortune to know him.

He is survived by his father Leo, his sister Donna (Bob) and brother Kevin (Kerry), nephews Michael (Autumn) and Matthew, and nieces Jenna and Kaitlin. He was predeceased by his mother Joyce.

Chris loved all things sports and was the happiest spending time with his family and friends and playing or watching hockey and golf. He was a natural athlete and sports came easy to him. He also enjoyed having a “cool one” with his dad and friends at his favorite watering hole to watch and talk sports. Chris was born and raised in Dorval, and while he had much fondness and great memories for the village of ValDavid, Dorval and all the longlasting friendships he had there brought him the greatest joy. Anyone who knew Chris, especially the core group of friends from the Dorval gang, was well aware of his unique and lovable quality mixed in with his Irish dry sense of humour.

A celebration of life will take place at a date to be confirmed, along with a separate private family service in the Spring. Online condolences, thoughts and memories may be shared on www.jjcardinal.ca.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Canadian Diabetes Association, West Island Palliative Care Residence or a charity of your choice.

    Dear Harris Family,
I am deeply saddened by the news of Chris’s passing, and my heart goes out to you during this incredibly difficult time. Chris was not just a friend; he was a cherished companion throughout my younger years, leaving an indelible mark on countless shared memories.
From countless tennis golf matches ( That he invented) to marathon backgammon sessions, and those perfect lifter ball hockey passes that only Chris could execute flawlessly, every moment spent with him was filled with laughter and camaraderie. He had a remarkable ability to make even the simplest activities memorable and enjoyable. Great Human!
