Mr. Lorne Lapointe

Passed away after a long battle with illness on Saturday August 8, 2020 at the age of 77. Youngest of six siblings.


He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, companion & partner, soulmate, second half Lynn Baker, his sister-in-law Colette (late Grant Baker), his sisters Therese and Mary, sister in law Monique, family and many friends.
Family will receive condolences on Friday September 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at J.J. Cardinal funeral Home, 2125 Notre-Dame, Lachine, H8S2G5 (514-639-1511).
Funeral service will be held on Saturday September 12, at 11:00 a.m. at St-Veronica’s Church 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval, H9S 1M6.
Donation in his memory to Prostate Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Lorne was a Master Craftsman who built many beautiful artifacts. He will be remembered for the craftsman he was and the many carpentry gifts he bestowed on his friends. His sense of humour and strong bond of friendship will be deeply missed.

    It’s with great sadness that I say goodbye to a very special soul a privilege to Have met Lorne Did not know him for very long but from the little bit of time I got to spend with him he always made my heart expand he was funny and uplifting and always trying to make me feel special I absolutely love them from the minute I met him it was so easy to get close to him he had no guards up totally open his heart I enjoyed every moment talking to him and sharing different ideas with them he was so open to everything I know that he will be missed so much by all those who loved him and got close to himRest in peace sweet soul

    My deepest condolences to Lynn and the family
    I spent many happy hours with Lorne on various golf courses
    We had a lot of fun and never took the game too serious.
    Christmas dinner will never be the same without him
    I miss him very much
