It is with great sadness that we announce that Carmelle Goguen passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2022, at the age of 97, in Kirkland, Qc.
She is survived by her sister Pauline DeTrano, brother Donald (Janice) Goguen, nephews Yves Arsenault and Luc Arsenault, nieces Carole (Brian) Goguen and Lynne (Craig) Goguen, and great niece and nephew Elizabeth and Alexander de Solla.
Carmelle is predeceased by her parents Joseph Aristide Goguen, Marie Emerise (née Bilodeau) Goguen, sisters Irène Goguen and Hélène Arsenault, niece Julie DeTrano, and brothers-in-law Clovis Arsenault and Frank DeTrano.
Born in Gardner, Massachusetts, Carmelle and her family lived in Sherbrooke and Ville St-Pierre before moving to Milroy Avenue in Pointe-Claire, where her family lived for over 60 years. Carmelle spent her twilight years living at the Belvedere residence in Lachine, where she shared the company of many friends.
Carmelle had a successful career at Yellow Pages Group, where she blazed a trail for being among two of the first women in outside sales. A talented seamstress, Carmelle loved to make dresses for children. Her other hobbies included travel, skiing, playing piano, spending summers at the family cottage near Laurel, Qc, and most of all, playing bridge with her many friends.
A visitation at 10 a.m., funeral service at 11 a.m. and reception at noon will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, at the JJ Cardinal Funeral home, located at 2125 rue Notre Dame, Lachine, Quebec H8S 2G5.
The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Belvedere, Lakeshore Hospital and Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for their excellent care, compassion, and professionalism.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.

Was privileged to be able to attend the service for Carmelle today. She was a very sweet lady. I know her faith meant a lot to he and I will have a Mass said for her and remember her in my prayers.
