Mrs. Jacynthe Girard

1948 – 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jacynthe Girard, who died peacefully on September 2, 2026, at her home in Dorval, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was the beloved wife of Mr. Donald Forman.                                                                                                                             She is survived by her children, Julie (Guillaume Baril), Chantal, and Daniel (Cynthia Patenaude); her grandsons, Antoine, Maxime, Thomas, Léo, Winfield, and Wesley; her brothers, Roger (Alison Reid), André (Monique Allard), Louis (Françoise Genest), Gilles (Michelle Hudon), and Benoit (Julie Garneau); her brother-in-law, Gilles Brien (Angéline Gaudreault), husband of her late sister Céline; and her sister-in-law, Diane Forman (Derek Walton).

Jacynthe is also survived by her many nephews and nieces, as well as numerous relatives and friends who will cherish precious memories of her.

She is reunited with her parents, Patrick Girard and Jeanne Ringuette; her sister Céline; her brother Guy and his wife Gaby; and her nephew Simon, who preceded her in death.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, October 17, 2026, starting at 1:00 p.m., at the J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home (2125 Notre-Dame Street, Lachine). A ceremony honoring her life will follow at 3:00 p.m.

The burial will take place at a later date, in the privacy of the immediate family, at the Lachine Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Dorval-Lachine CLSC for their attentive care, kindness, and support for Jacynthe and her loved ones throughout her illness.
