1945 – 2026
Shirley Bradshaw (née Appleton), a beacon of kindness and generosity, left this world peacefully on April 1, 2026, just one day shy of her 81st birthday, at Residence Nazaire Piché. Born in 1945, Shirley lived a life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.
On February 8, 1969, Shirley embarked on a beautiful journey with her beloved husband, Lester Bradshaw. Their marriage was a testament to a partnership filled with devotion, respect, and joy. Shirley was the proud and loving mother of Emily and Jason, whom she raised with compassion and understanding. Her children were the beneficiaries of her boundless love and wisdom, and they carry forward her legacy of kindness and integrity. For several years, she was also guardian to Lydia Robertson Latulipe, whom she cared for like a daughter.
A cherished sister, Shirley shared a close bond with her siblings, Carol (Everold) and Christine. Their connection was one of mutual support and love, a testament to the strong family ties that Shirley valued dearly.
Shirley’s role as a grandmother brought her immense joy. She was a doting grandmother to Donovan and Reilly, who adored her stories, laughter, and the warmth only a grandmother could provide.
Throughout her life, Shirley was known for her generosity. She was the kind of person who would offer a helping hand without hesitation and bring comfort to those in need. Her acts of kindness reached far and wide, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed her path. As we bid farewell to Shirley, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will eternally remain in our hearts.
Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Shirley’s life will be honored at St. Michael and All Angels Church, located at 15556 Cabot Street in Pierrefonds, on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
There will be a viewing at 1 p.m., followed by a private service at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
Rest in peace, dear Shirley. Your light will shine brightly in our hearts forever.
