Passed away on February 8, 2020 at the age of 94 years old.


At the Cambridge Residence, Pointe Claire, Quebec, the 8th of February, 2020, at the age of 94 years, Mrs. Therese Bergeron Halpin peacefully passed away. She was predeceased by her husband James A. Halpin (1923 – 2007) and her son James Halpin Jr. (1954 – 2014) both of Quebec City.

Thérèse leaves behind her daughter Linda (Neil Staff), her sons Roy (Martine Chartrand) and John (Margaret Forrest), her adopted daughter Lynn Lachance and her adopted sons Louis Lachance and Pierre Lachance, and her grandchildren: Andrew Staff, Mathieu Cantin-Halpin, Erin and Greg Halpin, Gabrielle and Liam Halpin, and Catherine and Frédéric Lachance. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Noella Bergeron, her daughter-in-law Johanne Cantin, and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Thérèse is the last of the Bergeron family to rejoin her parents, 7 sisters, 3 brothers, and her husband of 60 years.

A religious service will be celebrated with her ashes on March,14, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 1145 Salaberry Ave., Quebec City, 418-524-3544. The family will receive condolences at 10h00 am. The burial will be at St. Patrick’s cemetery at a later date.
