1949-2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Pelkonen after a six-year battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Mary and John Vandermark.
She leaves behind her husband Larry Pelkonen and her son John-Erik. She will be missed by many relatives and friends.
Barbara was a caring humble person who always put others before herself. She sang in the St-Veronica’s church choir for 35 years and volunteered in the community for 20 years.
The family wishes to thank the staff from the CHSLD Lachine and the oncology department at the Lakeshore Hospital for their kind and attentive care.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Lakeshore Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

I knew Barbara through most of my school years. She was always a kind, very shy girl, but was liked by everyone.
I am so sorry for your loss. May she Rest In Peace now. Prayers are with you.
