Our love and sympathies to Sean, Julie, Leo, Karen, John, Patsy and the girls at this really difficult time. I will my dear cousin and the regular chats we had reminiscing of the good old days back home! The only consolation I have is that she is reunited with the love of her life Alex…whom she missed terribly. Rest in peace dear sweet cuz….till we meet again!!!❤❤

Over the last few weeks I’ve been thinking of some of the things I am going to miss about my beautiful sister-in-law Maureen. Chatting about PBS and Masterpiece Theatre (whether Beecham House will return for another season, and how Sidney was so much better looking than his replacement Will on Grantchester); calling to get some last-minute tips on a dish I was cooking; arriving at Maureen’s place for Thanksgiving or Christmas and getting the rundown of what was on the menu for our stay, what had already been cooked and what had been planned for; her teasing Jess and Diana and how these kids always ate more of her cooking than mine (!); contd…

contd….her love of pickles and the jar of her home-made brinjal pickle she always brought for me on visits to Toronto; the classical music that was always playing in the house and Alex’s rolling of the eyes when Helmut Lotti came on; her courtesy and kindness to people no matter how difficult a situation she was in; her total impatience with an iPad that would not work; she ordering my favourite perfume from the Avon catalogue (we’ve somehow done this for 10 plus years; she’d order from her local Avon rep and I’d get the package when we next met); her multi-tasking at two (or more!) conversations; her vibrancy and busyness.

Maureen was not only a colleague but a great friend and I will miss our chats dearly. Her sense of generosity, sense of humour and kindness I will always cherish. Maureen was very supportive of me and often provided guidance on a personal level especially when it came to discussing our families and children. Alex, the love of her life, whom she missed so greatly and her children were the heartbeat in her chest. She was a great person. Rest In Peace eternally Maureen.

I just found out & felt your sadness that fills your Heart’s. Your Mom & Dad helped me through the Scouting year’s. Your Mom was my telephone committee to call all the Parent’s. Seeing her & your Dad at Church they always took time to say Hi & see how I was doing. May she rest peaceful with her Love of her Lifetime. May you find strength through them each Day. Hugs to the Family
